Ruckus Wireless, Intermec collaborate to optimize performance of distribution center

Wi-Fi technology pioneer Ruckus Wireless and Intermec signed an agreement to work together and provide Wi-Fi enabled rugged mobile solutions that can be used to boost the performance and supply chain workflows within distribution center and manufacturing operations.

Intermec, a company that offers the widest range of data collections, mobile computing, RFID, wired and wireless connectivity, and printer and media solutions are specifically engineered to endure the rigidity of real-world environments. The company provides comprehensive security, protecting the privacy and integrity of users’ data and their network.

With the collaboration of the two companies, Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi technology can be used to continuously link Intermec solutions to backend warehouse management and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Distribution centers, terminals and warehouses are often considered as challenging radio frequency environments. With the help of Ruckus technology, performance issues can be addressed by getting rid of RF dead spots and enhancing signal coverage.
